When it comes to deck installation and building, there are a wide variety of different deck materials that are available to our clients. The most common forms of deck materials are wood, composite, and vinyl decking but each has a range of properties that will affect how suitable it is for our clients. As professional deck builders, we are able to help you understand the advantages and disadvantages of each deck material to make sure that you get the one for you. As well as simply helping you choose the material that is best for you, we are also able to maintain the deck to keep it looking great for as long as possible, regardless of what material you select.

Wooden deck.

Wood decks are one of the oldest forms of deck, and are still incredibly popular. Wood decks do not just come in one type of wood, however, and come in a range of types, each with its own unique properties. These can also come in a wide variety of prices too, ranging from affordable woods through to our more expensive but highly sought-after woods, such as Ipe. Much like a composite or vinyl deck, wood can be incredibly robust, especially when treated with care and properly maintained, with many comfortably lasting for decades without significant problems.

Composite And Vinyl decks.

Composite and vinyl decks are a popular alternative to wooden decks and are usually much more affordable than some wood decks, while still being robust and reliable. As these are both created using plastic, they can come in a variety of styles and colors that are not available for wooden decks. While these both have a lot in common, they also have their differences too. As the name suggests, composite decks are made from a combination of wood and plastic, while vinyl is completely plastic. This leaves them with slightly different properties, which our staff will gladly discuss with you in more depth.

Questions Welcome.

Trying to plan a deck on your own can be a daunting task at the best of times, and installing one can be even more difficult, particularly if it is somewhere unusual, such as a rooftop deck. It is for these reasons, we have a knowledgeable customer service team that is able to help you with all aspects of your deck. We can help you come up with the initial idea before discussing the materials with you. Our customer service team can help you weigh up the pros and cons of each material, meaning that you get the deck material that fits your needs and budget.

Deck Maintenance.

All forms of deck material have different maintenance requirements. No matter what deck you have, however, we will be able to provide suitable maintenance for your deck. We have a full selection of services that are available, from deck powerwashing to get rid of mold and dirt build-up to maintenance for specific materials. For wooden decks, in particular, we also provide a wood sealing service. This allows you to protect your wood deck from moisture and mold, which can cause damage over time. Sealing is a particularly cost-effective way to protect your deck, and can often lead to it out-lasting other materials when done properly.
